About the Role

U.S. Xpress is seeking experienced CDL-A truck drivers for long-haul, dry van operations. You'll operate company-maintained equipment on assigned routes, managing freight deliveries across multiple states while maintaining safety, compliance, and professional customer service standards.

What You'll Do

• Operate a commercial truck hauling dry van freight over interstate routes
• Navigate routes safely and efficiently, typically logging around 2,000 miles per week
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs promptly
• Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation per DOT regulations
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and logistics coordination
• Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company operational procedures

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
• 1–5 months of commercial driving experience
• Medical certification (DOT physical)
• Professional demeanor and reliability
• Willingness to work rotating schedules (12 days out, 2 days home)

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is performance-based, ranging from 57 to 64 cents per mile depending on experience. With an average of 2,000 miles per week, experienced drivers in our top performers earn approximately $1,650 weekly. A guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,500 provides income stability, and we offer a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Team driving opportunities are also available at higher mileage with enhanced compensation and bonuses.
