Family Service League Inc. is hiring a full-time Case Manager - Shelter in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus for the right candidate ready to support vulnerable individuals on their path to stability.
About the Role
As a Shelter Case Manager with Family Service League Inc., you will work directly with residents in a Lindenhurst, Suffolk County shelter setting, coordinating the services and support needed to move toward housing and self-sufficiency. This on-site, full-time position follows a daytime schedule of either 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with one scheduled day running 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Build supportive relationships with shelter residents and assess their individual needs.
- Develop and monitor person-centered service plans focused on housing stability and well-being.
- Connect clients to mental health, addiction recovery, housing, and other essential human services.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with agency standards.
- Coordinate with internal programs and community partners to advocate for client goals.

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work compassionately and effectively within a shelter environment.
- Availability for the scheduled shifts, including the rotating evening day.
