Teachers Aide

About the Role

As a Teachers Aide with Family Service League Inc., you will assist lead educators in delivering daily instruction and creating a safe, welcoming space for students. This on-site position in Huntington Station, Suffolk County, follows the Huntington School District calendar, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM. It is an excellent fit for someone passionate about education and committed to making a meaningful difference in children's lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in carrying out lesson plans and daily learning activities.
• Provide individual and small-group attention to help students stay engaged and on task.
• Help maintain a positive, orderly, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials, transitions, and routine activities.
• Reinforce instructions and encourage students to build confidence and independence.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to meet the needs of every learner.

• Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow direction from lead teachers while working as part of a team.
