Family Service League Inc. is recruiting a full-time Social Worker in Bay Shore, Suffolk County, to provide compassionate clinical services to youth and families seeking mental health support. You'll deliver services within communities and homes, building strong therapeutic partnerships with the families you serve.
About the Role
This is a full-time clinical social work position focused on delivering direct mental health services to young people and their family systems. You'll work in a collaborative environment that values flexibility, genuine connection, and evidence-based therapeutic practice.
What You'll Do
- Assess youth mental health needs and develop individualized clinical treatment goals
- Provide individual and family therapy using relationship-centered therapeutic approaches
- Work with caregivers to identify family strengths and build protective factors
- Deliver services in community-based settings including homes, schools, and offices
- Document clinical progress and maintain accurate treatment records
- Connect families with community resources and support services
- Collaborate with clinical team members and supervision structures
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university
- New York Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential or current eligibility
- Prior experience in community mental health or youth services
- Strong interpersonal abilities and skill in engaging diverse families
- Commitment to family-centered and trauma-informed clinical approaches
- Ability to manage an independent caseload and work collaboratively
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
