Cardiac Cath Lab – Travel Registered Nurse

About the Role

You'll support complex cardiovascular procedures in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory. This is hands-on clinical work where your expertise and attention to detail directly impact patient outcomes. The role combines procedural support, patient advocacy, and real-time decision-making in a fast-paced medical environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist physicians and cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and related interventional procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs, hemodynamics, and clinical status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain catheterization lab equipment, instruments, and supplies according to protocol
• Administer medications and manage IV access under physician direction
• Provide patient education and emotional support during pre- and post-procedure phases
• Document procedures, patient responses, and nursing interventions in the medical record
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and institutional policies
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license valid in Kentucky
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or similar acute care setting
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common interventional procedures
• Ability to remain composed and clinically sharp in time-sensitive, high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice
