About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on our Med Surg team, you will deliver direct patient care, coordinate clinical treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. This full-time position offers a structured schedule of two 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating every-other-holiday coverage and every-third-weekend assignments.
What You'll Do
- Provide evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients throughout your shift
- Monitor patient vitals, assess clinical status, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care protocols
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records and communicate updates to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, hygienic hospital environment and adhere to infection control standards
What We're Looking For
- Current Connecticut RN license
- Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing
