We're seeking a compassionate, skilled nursing professional to provide exceptional care at our Middletown, Middlesex County location, helping patients and families through one of life's most transformative moments.

About the Role

This full-time position offers an opportunity to practice acute-care nursing within a specialty setting that demands clinical excellence and emotional intelligence. Working the 3rd shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with rotating weekends and alternating holidays, you'll be part of a dedicated team delivering evidence-based care in labor and delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Provide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care across the pregnancy continuum
  • Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, interpret electronic fetal monitoring, and respond promptly to clinical changes
  • Collaborate with obstetric providers, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized birth plans
  • Educate patients and families about labor progression, pain management options, and postpartum recovery
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment throughout the birthing process
  • Document care accurately and ensure HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
  • Support families with compassion during labor complications and unexpected outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • Current Connecticut RN licensure
  • Clinical experience in acute care or obstetric nursing (preferred)
  • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Excellent communication with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
  • Flexibility to work 3rd shift, including rotating weekends and holidays
