Business Project Manager, AMI (Hybrid Schedule)

Eversource Energy is hiring a Business Project Manager for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) projects in Windsor, Hartford County. This full-time hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead mission-critical utility modernization initiatives.

Position Summary

As a Business Project Manager, AMI, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of advanced metering infrastructure programs that modernize how Eversource monitors and manages energy distribution. You'll coordinate across technical, operational, and stakeholder teams to ensure projects meet scope, timeline, and budget targets while supporting the company's grid modernization objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; establish timelines and resource allocation
• Track project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions to keep initiatives on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate between engineering teams, operational staff, vendors, and external stakeholders to align on project requirements and milestones
• Prepare regular status reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership and project teams
• Identify process improvements and operational efficiencies within project workflows
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout project lifecycle

Who We're Looking For

• 3+ years of project management experience, ideally in utilities, energy, infrastructure, or related industries
• Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase programs with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office suite
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• PMP or CAPM certification preferred
