About the Role
Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead real estate, land use, and siting legal initiatives across the organization. In this hybrid, full-time role, you will advise senior leadership on major real estate, land use, and infrastructure siting decisions while navigating the complex regulatory landscape that shapes utility operations throughout New England.
What You'll Do
- Advise on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and long-term property strategy
- Navigate zoning, land use permitting, and municipal regulatory processes
- Support siting and site selection for utility infrastructure projects
- Handle title work, easement documentation, deed review, and property rights matters
- Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel on complex legal matters
- Assess and mitigate legal risk related to land use and environmental compliance
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor and active bar license
- Substantial experience in real estate law, land use law, or related practice areas
- Familiarity with zoning, municipal permitting, and regulatory processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex real estate transactions and negotiations
- Strong analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across business units and with external stakeholders
