Business Development Executive, Public Sector (EMEA)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology firm serving government agencies and financial crime prevention efforts across EMEA. Our client builds advanced investigative platforms that help public and private sector organizations trace illicit activity and disrupt criminal networks.

We're seeking a Business Development Executive with established public sector relationships across EMEA. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on opening strategic conversations and creating qualified opportunities within government, regulatory bodies, law enforcement, and financial intelligence communities. You will not be building a network from scratch—you'll be activating relationships you've already earned.

This position is remote within Europe with 30-40% travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Open senior-level access across priority EMEA public-sector accounts by leveraging your existing network of government and regulatory relationships
• Build multi-threaded relationships across agencies, regulators, law enforcement, and financial intelligence units
• Position our client within key conversations around financial crime, sanctions, fraud, asset recovery, digital assets, and emerging regulatory priorities
• Identify and pursue high-value opportunities with government agencies and regulatory institutions
• Represent our client at conferences, government forums, and industry events, converting visibility into qualified pipeline
• Partner with internal teams to translate strategic access into customer opportunities and market intelligence
• Provide early warning on market, technology, and regulatory shifts by monitoring the competitive landscape
• Feed practitioner insight, agency priorities, procurement dynamics, and regional intelligence back to product and go-to-market teams

What We're Looking For

• Established network across EMEA government, regulatory bodies, or public-sector practitioner communities—this is non-negotiable
• Proven ability to translate senior relationships into concrete opportunities, not just introductions
• Comfort serving as a public voice: conferences, panels, government forums
• Experience applying AI tools to research, prospecting, and pipeline management, with specific examples you can discuss
• Based remotely within Europe
• Willingness to travel 30-40% across EMEA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
