Business Development Executive, Financial Institutions (EMEA)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that provides AI-powered intelligence solutions for financial crime investigation. Our client is seeking a Business Development Executive to expand strategic access across the EMEA financial institution ecosystem.

This is a senior individual contributor role designed for someone who already possesses deep credibility and trusted relationships across banks and financial institutions. You will not be building a network from scratch—you will be activating a network you have already earned through your career.

This is not a traditional closing-quota sales role. Your mandate is to open senior-level conversations, multi-thread strategic accounts, create qualified enterprise opportunities, and help our client become part of the most important digital asset, financial crime, and compliance conversations happening inside major financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Open senior-level access at priority EMEA financial institutions by leveraging your existing professional network
• Build multi-threaded relationships across stakeholders who shape digital asset strategy, financial crime programs, compliance priorities, investigations, risk, and innovation
• Identify and pursue high-value enterprise and partnership opportunities with banks and other financial institutions
• Represent our client externally at conferences, executive forums, practitioner communities, and industry events, turning public presence and private conversations into qualified opportunities
• Partner closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Policy teams to turn strategic access into qualified customer opportunities and market insight
• Monitor market, technology, and regulatory shifts to provide early warning signals for emerging opportunities and risks
• Feed customer insights, buying dynamics, objections, and market intelligence back into product and go-to-market strategy

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Deep, credible network across EMEA financial institutions, ideally from having led digital assets at a bank or operated at a crypto infrastructure firm
• Track record of turning relationships into real pipeline, not just introductions
• Comfortable being customer-facing and public-facing through conferences, panels, and thought leadership
• Active use of AI day-to-day for research, prospecting, and pipeline management, with a concrete workflow to demonstrate
• Direct experience with financial institutions or crypto-native infrastructure companies serving them in EMEA

Hard Requirements:

• Based remotely within Europe
• Willing to travel 30-40% for conferences and in-person account work
