Responsibilities
We are representing a global digital services organization seeking a Regional SEO Team Lead to drive delivery and operational excellence across EMEA. You will lead a regional SEO team responsible for technical SEO, on-page optimization, and emerging AI/generative search optimization. This senior role reports to the global leadership and ensures quality delivery within established frameworks while adapting strategies for regional market needs.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading all SEO service delivery across the region, ensuring adherence to global quality standards and standard operating procedures
- Overseeing regional resourcing, capacity planning, and project prioritization across in-house and external teams
- Managing financial accountability including budget compliance, time tracking accuracy, and project margin targets
- Driving account growth by identifying upsell opportunities and supporting pre-sales with scoping and proposals
- Managing and mentoring SEO specialists, establishing clear training agendas and development objectives
- Ensuring alignment between technical SEO, content, UX/CRO, and paid media teams for integrated strategies
- Participating in client strategy reviews, technical updates, and quarterly business reviews
- Collaborating with global counterparts to share learnings and evolve service offerings
- Championing AI and generative AI innovation, encouraging adoption of automation and new tools
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience leading SEO teams in an agency or in-house environment with proven operational leadership
- Deep expertise across technical SEO, on-page optimization, and emerging generative search/AI optimization
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, margins, and revenue targets
- Track record of driving account growth and identifying expansion opportunities
- Experience with vendor management and external resourcing within quality and budget parameters
- Excellent people management skills with ability to mentor and develop team members
- Strong collaborative mindset with experience working across integrated digital disciplines
- Familiarity with global frameworks and ability to adapt strategies for regional markets
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, particularly around AI-driven processes
- Located in or able to work from London
