About the Role
As a Bus Driver with Roselle Park Public Schools (NJ), you will be entrusted with one of the most important responsibilities in education: getting children to and from school safely. This part-time position serves K–12 students on regularly scheduled routes as well as field trips and other school-sponsored outings. The role is based in New Jersey, with the specific reporting location to be determined.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport K–12 students safely along assigned daily routes, arriving on schedule each trip.
- Drive students to and from school events, field trips, and district activities as needed.
- Maintain order on board and manage student behavior in a calm, fair, and consistent manner.
- Conduct routine safety checks and report mechanical concerns promptly.
- Communicate clearly with school staff, families, and district administrators.
Qualifications
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate to the vehicle being operated.
- At least three years of safe driving experience supported by a clean driving record.
- Strong communication abilities and proven skill in supervising and managing students.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for recognizing and reporting vehicle issues.
