About the Role
As an MCAT Prep Instructor, you'll lead engaging, results-driven instruction in both group and individual settings. Kaplan's curriculum combines rigorous content mastery with proven score-boosting test-taking strategies, and you'll be at the center of delivering this transformative learning experience to pre-med students preparing for one of the most important exams of their careers.
What You'll Do
- Teach comprehensive MCAT content across all exam domains: biological sciences, physical sciences, psychological concepts, and critical thinking
- Deliver interactive lessons that develop both conceptual understanding and test-taking proficiency
- Guide students through full-length practice exams and provide targeted feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions to address individual student learning needs
- Design and refine lesson plans using Kaplan's evidence-based instructional methods
- Track student progress and adjust instruction to maximize score improvement
- Create a supportive, motivating classroom environment for diverse learners
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated expertise in MCAT content with a strong personal MCAT score or equivalent qualification
- Prior experience teaching, tutoring, or instructing medical school preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and accessibly
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Passion for helping students succeed on the path to medical school
- Part-time availability for classes in Washington, D.C.
