About the Role

As a Bilingual Family Advocate with National Youth Advocate Program, you'll serve as a bridge between families and essential resources and services. Your work will center on building strong relationships with families, understanding their unique needs, and connecting them with the support systems that help them thrive. Working a flexible Tuesday through Saturday schedule, you'll bring both languages and cultural understanding to your advocacy work, ensuring that every family receives the attention and guidance they deserve. The annual salary is $54,361, with comprehensive benefits including 22 days of paid time off annually and 11 additional paid holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for families by connecting them with appropriate resources, services, and opportunities in the community
  • Conduct home visits and community-based meetings to assess family strengths and support needs
  • Communicate effectively with families in both English and Spanish, building trust and understanding
  • Collaborate with colleagues, partner organizations, and service providers to coordinate comprehensive family support
  • Document interactions and maintain accurate records of progress and outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to strengthen program delivery

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated experience working with families and youth-serving organizations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Tuesday through Saturday shifts
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Commitment to serving vulnerable populations with respect and cultural sensitivity
