Role Overview

This is a structured vocational apprenticeship in mechatronics, combining hands-on manufacturing experience with technical classroom instruction. During your training at ContiTech in Hannover, you will develop practical skills in assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems used across the automotive and industrial sectors. The position offers a genuine pathway into skilled employment within one of the automotive industry's most respected employers.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn to operate, assemble, and maintain state-of-the-art production machinery and equipment
• Perform precision mechanical work including measuring, fitting, and adjusting components to exact specifications
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in complex systems under supervisory guidance
• Contribute to routine maintenance schedules and quality assurance processes on production lines
• Document work processes and maintain safety standards across the workshop environment
• Complete block release theory modules at the vocational college alongside practical training

Skills & Qualifications

• Mittlere Reife or equivalent secondary school qualification (or strong Hauptschule results)
• Genuine interest in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or industrial manufacturing
• Practical problem-solving ability and precision in technical work
• Reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn complex technical skills
• Basic mathematical competency for technical calculations and measurements
• Proficiency in German; English language skills are advantageous
• Full German work authorisation and willingness to work full-time on-site in Hannover
