City and County of San Francisco is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician (position 2930) to provide psychiatric assessment and care services in San Francisco, California. This citywide role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and wellbeing of San Francisco residents.
About the Role
Working under general supervision, you will serve as a Behavioral Health Clinician, conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and intake evaluations for individuals and families in our community. You'll evaluate each client's presenting concerns, mental health history, and circumstances to inform individualized treatment planning and care coordination.
What You'll Do
- Assess prospective clients and their families through structured clinical interviews
- Evaluate referral reasons, presenting problems, and psychological history
- Review environmental and psychosocial factors impacting mental health
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans and care recommendations
- Coordinate with clinical teams and community partners on ongoing services
- Maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation
- Support clients and families through the assessment process with professionalism and compassion
What We're Looking For
- Current California licensure in clinical social work (LCSW), marriage and family therapy (LMFT), or equivalent behavioral health credential
- Experience conducting psychiatric assessments and mental health interviews
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
