Auto Club Group is seeking an Automotive Technician C for our Cary, Wake County service center. In this full-time role, you'll diagnose and repair vehicles including diesel and hybrid models, contributing to our mission of keeping members safe on the road.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position within our vehicle repair and maintenance operations. You'll work on complex automotive systems, applying technical expertise and diagnostic skills to deliver quality service across a diverse range of vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Perform diagnostic testing to identify vehicle problems using specialized equipment
- Execute repair work on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and related components
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and inspections
- Service diesel and hybrid vehicles with expertise in their specialized systems
- Review technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic codes to guide repair decisions
- Document all work performed accurately in service records and management systems
- Maintain professional standards for shop cleanliness, safety, and tool organization
What We're Looking For
- ASE certification or comparable automotive technician certification
- Proven experience working as an automotive technician
- Hands-on proficiency with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and mechanical hand tools
- Technical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Reliable work ethic with commitment to quality and safety
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background screening
