About the Role
As a Mortgage Loan Officer at WSFS Bank, you'll be at the center of one of life's biggest financial decisions. You'll guide clients through the mortgage process, from initial consultation through loan closing, serving as a trusted advisor who understands both their needs and the full range of financing solutions available.
What You'll Do
- Originate and process residential mortgage loans for qualified borrowers
- Meet with prospective clients to evaluate their financial situations and explain loan options, terms, and conditions
- Analyze credit reports, property appraisals, and other documentation to assess loan feasibility
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, real estate professionals, and referral sources
- Work collaboratively with loan processors, underwriters, and closing teams to ensure smooth loan progression
- Stay informed about mortgage products, market conditions, and regulatory requirements
- Meet or exceed loan origination goals and contribute to the branch's overall performance
What We're Looking For
- Valid Mortgage Loan Officer license or ability to obtain one
- Knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and lending regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple applications and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and compliance
- Genuine interest in helping clients achieve their homeownership goals
- Background in sales, customer service, or lending preferred
