About This Role

We are representing a confidential renewable energy client seeking an Automation Engineer to join their team in München. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure that supports a growing network of installation partners across Germany.

Our client operates through a certified network of local craftspeople and installation partners, without maintaining their own installation capacity. The success of their business model depends directly on how effectively they build, utilize, and commercially manage this partner ecosystem. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing automation solutions that enable scalable partnership management and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions to streamline partner network management, capacity planning, and project tendering processes
• Develop data-driven tools and dashboards that enable strategic steering of the partner network based on capacity needs, regional coverage, utilization rates, and partner segmentation
• Build automated workflows for partner onboarding, performance monitoring, and commercial operations
• Create systems that support pricing negotiations, project volume management, and capacity allocation across the partner network
• Implement KPI tracking and reporting mechanisms to make performance, quality, and economic efficiency transparent and continuously improvable
• Integrate OEM and wholesale distribution data into the partner ecosystem for improved commercial conditions
• Develop incentive models and partner tier systems that can scale programmatically
• Work closely with revenue operations to automate tendering and project allocation processes
• Collaborate with partnership and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and translate business requirements into technical solutions

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering, process automation, or similar technical roles, ideally in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
• Strong technical skills in automation platforms, workflow tools, and integration technologies
• Experience with CRM systems and partner management platforms
• Proven ability to work with data, KPIs, and analytics tools to derive actionable insights
• Commercial understanding of how automation drives revenue, margin, capacity, and utilization metrics
• Strategic thinking combined with hands-on implementation skills
• Experience building scalable systems that can grow with evolving business structures
• Excellent communication skills in German (C2 level) and good English proficiency
• Comfort working in an environment where processes are evolving and initiative is valued
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders from technical teams to business leadership
• Nice to have: Understanding of craft trades processes and dynamics (preferably HVAC or electrical), experience in wholesale or partner management contexts
