Associate (CPA/SMMM)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-established accounting and advisory firm seeking an Associate with CPA/SMMM credentials to join their remote team in Türkiye. This is an excellent opportunity to build specialized expertise in U.S. accounting standards and tax regulations while working with a diverse international client portfolio.

Our client operates across multiple continents and serves individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses of all sizes with comprehensive accounting, tax, payroll, and advisory services. This fully remote role offers the chance to develop hands-on experience with U.S. GAAP, federal tax codes, and cross-border financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Support client onboarding processes and ensure proper setup of accounting systems
• Manage daily bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, monthly closings, and financial reporting
• Prepare payroll, sales tax returns, depreciation schedules, and other accounting documentation
• Complete accounting, reporting, and tax-related tasks using firm software systems
• Assist with audits and reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
• Analyze financial data for revenue forecasting and profit margin evaluation
• Prepare and file U.S. corporate and individual income tax returns, including 1099s and year-end filings
• Research complex tax and accounting issues to develop practical solutions
• Contribute to special projects and financial report preparation as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or tax
• Turkish CPA (SMMM) license strongly preferred
• Outsource accounting service experience is a significant advantage
• U.S. GAAP experience highly valued
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Experience with accounting software systems preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in business English (all interviews conducted in English)
• Strong analytical abilities and capacity to handle complex financial data
• Highly organized with proven multi-tasking capabilities
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and prioritize competing demands
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to following standard procedures
• Dedication to pursuing a career focused on accounting and tax

Work Arrangement: Fully remote from anywhere in Türkiye. Work hours align with U.S. Eastern Time Zone. Occasional travel may be required.
