Assistant Vice President of Residential Living

Bridgewell seeks an Assistant Vice President of Residential Living to lead and expand its residential housing services in West Peabody, Essex County. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to directly impact the lives of individuals with disabilities and those facing complex life challenges by overseeing high-quality, person-centered residential programs and communities.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Vice President of Residential Living at Bridgewell, you will provide strategic direction and operational oversight of residential facilities and community housing initiatives designed to foster independence, dignity, and self-determination. Your leadership will shape how Bridgewell delivers safe, supportive housing environments that enable people with disabilities to build meaningful lives within their communities.

Core Duties

• Direct day-to-day operations of residential housing programs and facilities, ensuring they meet all regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Lead, manage, and mentor residential program staff, including hiring, performance management, and ongoing professional development
• Develop and refine residential service models that prioritize individual choice, community integration, and person-centered outcomes
• Oversee budgets and resource allocation for residential operations to ensure sustainable, high-quality program delivery
• Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and local agencies to strengthen referral pathways and support networks
• Monitor program quality through direct engagement with residents, staff observations, and data review; implement continuous improvements
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in social work, business administration, public health, nonprofit management, or a closely related field
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in residential services, disability services, or community-based human services delivery
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including direct supervision of frontline staff
• Strong understanding of disabilities, mental health recovery, or other populations served by community social services
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations, licensing standards, and compliance frameworks in residential services
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners
• Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered approaches that respect individual autonomy and dignity
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to program sites as needed
