About the Role
As a member of the Detroit Red Wings Original Stix Drumline, you will help amaze, inspire, and unite fans through high-energy live percussion. This full-time, on-site role in Detroit puts you at the heart of the game-day experience, performing in front of passionate audiences and representing one of hockey's most storied franchises.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform as part of the Original Stix Drumline during Detroit Red Wings events and game-day activations.
- Bring consistent rhythm, precision, and showmanship to live audiences.
- Collaborate with fellow drumline members to deliver tight, synchronized performances.
- Help build the atmosphere and excitement that energizes fans throughout each event.
- Stay prepared across the required audition repertoire and tempos.
Qualifications
- Strong drumline and percussion fundamentals with reliable timing across varied tempos.
- Ability to perform the required audition pieces, including the "Diddle Exercise" (two reps, at 130 and 144 BPM), "TA 22" (two reps, at 120 and 136 BPM), and "DEKE." Cymbals are excluded.
- Comfort performing live in front of large crowds with energy and stage presence.
- Availability for a full-time, in-person commitment in Detroit, Wayne County.
- A collaborative, team-first attitude.
