About the Role

As part of our Assistant Shelter Operations Manager team at the Kenosha Campus, you will serve as a key member of our shelter leadership, working directly under the Director of Animal and Client Services. Your role is to maintain the highest standards of animal welfare while fostering a supportive environment for staff and visitors alike. You'll collaborate with adoption counselors, animal care technicians, and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional outcomes for every animal.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct oversight and leadership to adoption counselors and animal care technicians
• Support day-to-day shelter operations, including scheduling, staff coordination, and workflow management
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and organizational policies
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork and professional development among staff
• Assist in implementing programs that advance our adoption mission
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shelter environment for animals and visitors
