Assistant Manager Human Resources-Hybrid

About the Role

As Assistant Manager of Human Resources, you'll partner directly with our Manager of Total Rewards & People Operations to execute day-to-day HR functions that keep our organization thriving. You'll balance administrative coordination with meaningful people initiatives, ensuring our workforce remains engaged, compliant, and supported. This role is perfect for an HR professional who brings both operational expertise and genuine care for employee success.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement employee relations strategies that foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
• Oversee performance management processes including goal-setting, reviews, and professional development planning
• Design and coordinate employee engagement programs and initiatives to strengthen retention and morale
• Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Coordinate HR activities including onboarding, training programs, and special projects
• Support team leaders with HR guidance and best practices on people management
• Maintain accurate HR records, manage HRIS systems, and track key workforce metrics
• Contribute to policy development and regular updates to keep company practices current and equitable

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of HR experience, with at least one year in an HR coordinator, specialist, or similar support capacity
• Strong knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, and wage-hour compliance requirements
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional HR experience)
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred
