Assistant ingénieur F/H en techniques expérimentales et réalisation mécanique

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential higher education institution seeking an assistant engineer to design, fabricate, and instrument mechanical and experimental devices for research and teaching applications. In this hands-on role, you will:

• Participate in the design and implementation of experimental setups, including technical drawings, dimensional calculations, assembly, calibration, and testing
• Ensure maintenance and proper functioning of equipment and experimental apparatus
• Contribute to mechanical prototyping and early-stage studies
• Apply and enforce health and safety regulations across all activities
• Train users on the operation of experimental devices
• Support researchers and students in executing their projects
• Participate in technology transfer and valorization initiatives
• Manage inventory and procurement processes

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Bac +2 level qualification; DUT or licence degree preferred
• Background in mechanical engineering, instrumentation, physical measurements, or metrology
• Prior professional experience in the field required; experience in higher education settings highly valued

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of machining and mechanical fabrication techniques
• Solid understanding of mechanics including tolerances, adjustments, metrology, and industrial drawing
• General knowledge of control methods and techniques
• Familiarity with physical measurement techniques (pressure, temperature, etc.)
• English language skills at B1 level desired

Location & Work Arrangement: Compiègne, Hauts-de-France, France. This is an on-site position. Occasional travel for training, meetings, and events will be required.
