About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization expanding its engineering capabilities in Germany. We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to build native mobile experiences for a modern financial application platform.

This is a remote position based in Germany. Strong English communication is required for cross-functional collaboration with global product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship native Android features for core financial workflows including account management, payments, transfers, and user onboarding
• Transform complex financial processes into simple, fast, and reliable mobile experiences
• Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and engineering teams to deliver features from concept through production
• Own application quality including performance optimization, crash rate monitoring, and release stability
• Integrate APIs, authentication systems, and secure data handling with strong attention to reliability
• Use production analytics and user behavior data to continuously improve shipped features
• Debug and resolve production issues while maintaining high standards for app quality

What We're Looking For

• Strong native Android development experience using Kotlin
• Proven track record shipping Android applications to real users
• Solid understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android development practices
• Strong product sense with genuine care for user experience beyond implementing tickets
• Ability to debug production issues and improve performance, reliability, and overall app quality
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and moving quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Track record of personally building, shipping, or scaling significant products or systems
• Must be currently based in Germany
• Strong English communication skills required

This role is not suitable for: Engineers who only work from fully defined tickets, developers who don't prioritize user experience, those who overlook crashes or performance issues, or candidates who cannot move quickly in a startup environment.
