AI Strategy & Transformation – Managing Principal

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial services consultancy seeking an experienced Managing Principal to lead AI strategy and transformation engagements. In this senior leadership role, you will partner with C-suite executives to define AI strategies, shape enterprise transformation agendas, and deliver measurable business value through responsible AI adoption.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading enterprise AI strategy engagements, defining transformation roadmaps, operating models, governance frameworks, and investment priorities
• Advising senior executives on AI adoption, business transformation, responsible AI practices, and value realization across complex financial services organizations
• Leading large-scale AI transformation programmes while building trusted client relationships and delivering measurable commercial outcomes
• Driving business growth by shaping new client opportunities, developing propositions, and contributing to AI thought leadership
• Coaching and developing consulting teams while strengthening AI strategy and advisory capabilities across the practice

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

• Extensive consulting or advisory experience delivering AI, digital, or enterprise transformation within financial services
• Proven experience advising C-suite stakeholders and leading complex strategic transformation programmes from strategy through implementation
• Strong expertise in AI strategy, governance, operating models, business case development, and value realization
• Commercial mindset with experience developing client relationships, winning consulting engagements, and leading multidisciplinary teams
• Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for executive audiences

Preferred qualifications:

• Expertise in responsible AI, AI governance, AI operating models, or AI value realization
• Experience helping organisations scale generative AI or agentic AI capabilities
• Thought leadership, proposition development, or capability-building experience within a consulting environment
• Knowledge of AI economics, cost optimization, and sustainable AI adoption strategies
• Experience mentoring senior consultants and building high-performing consulting teams

This is a permanent, remote position based in the United Kingdom.
