AI Consultant

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking an AI Consultant to join their team in Lyon, France. In this role, you will guide clients through the complete lifecycle of AI projects, from use-case identification through production deployment and industrialization of AI agents.

You will frame client needs by facilitating workshops with business and IT teams to understand requirements, challenge assumptions, and identify the most relevant solutions. You'll translate business needs into concrete, achievable AI solutions while advising leadership on the possibilities offered by modern AI capabilities and agent-based systems.

Your technical work will involve designing and developing AI agents, configuring topics, actions, tools, instructions and orchestration mechanisms. You'll use automation platforms to streamline business processes and connect agents to data sources and enterprise services. Integration with business applications and external services through connectors and APIs will be a key part of your work.

You'll participate in POC phases, prototyping, testing and iterations to deliver reliable production-ready solutions. Implementing reliability and control mechanisms such as grounding, testing, guardrails, evaluation and conversation monitoring will be essential. Performance analysis and continuous improvement of agents will round out your delivery responsibilities.

On the industrialization side, you'll contribute to establishing best practices for deployment and lifecycle management of AI agents, participate in defining ALM practices, and help structure platform environments and deployment strategies. You'll ensure quality, security, governance and maintainability while documenting architectures and configurations for future operations.

Finally, you'll maintain technical vigilance around AI technologies, explore new capabilities, share experiences and best practices with teams, and contribute to pre-sales activities and project scoping.

What We're Looking For

Core Technical Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency with enterprise AI agent platforms, including practical experience designing conversational agents with topics, actions, tools, orchestration, context management and multi-channel deployment
• Strong experience with low-code automation platforms including workflow automation, application development and data management tools
• Good understanding of platform environments, solutions and ALM principles; knowledge of governance practices is advantageous
• Solid knowledge of enterprise collaboration ecosystems, with experience in architecture, integration and security aspects
• Strong grasp of generative AI and agentic AI concepts
• Practical or theoretical knowledge of RAG, prompt engineering, grounding, tool/function calling, model evaluation, guardrails and agent orchestration
• Awareness of reliability, security and governance challenges in AI solutions

• Cloud AI services and foundry platforms
• Enterprise integration services
• Graph APIs and REST APIs
• Monitoring and observability tools

Professional Qualities:

• Ability to facilitate client workshops and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Strong consulting mindset with experience advising business and IT leadership
• Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing
• Experience with client-facing roles and pre-sales activities
• Fluency in French is required for this Lyon-based position
