Advisor Procurement Manager (f/m/d) – Cloud

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading European cloud infrastructure and hosting services provider in their search for an experienced procurement professional to manage strategic sourcing initiatives in the cloud technology space. This is a senior advisory role based in Berlin, where you will act as the commercial architect for critical vendor relationships that power large-scale digital infrastructure.

This position goes far beyond traditional purchasing—you will serve as a trusted advisor leading complex sourcing projects with full project accountability. You will be the crucial link between technical vision and commercial reality, enabling engineering teams to focus on innovation while you handle sophisticated procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing cycles for IT, cloud, and software procurement, ensuring partnerships with world-class providers
• Conduct high-stakes contract negotiations to secure optimal commercial terms and legally sound frameworks
• Serve as primary liaison between external vendors and internal technical teams, reducing friction and administrative burden on engineers
• Drive procurement excellence by ensuring every deal meets compliance, transparency, and performance standards
• Manage multi-million euro RFP processes and vendor selections
• Measure success through KPIs including cost savings, cycle time reduction, and contract compliance metrics

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in IT and software procurement with deep expertise in cloud licensing models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
• Demonstrated track record leading complex RFP processes and negotiations in the multi-million euro range
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to leverage data-driven insights for procurement decisions
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and commercial functions
• Fluent German and English language skills suitable for executive-level negotiations
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, hosting services, and digital platform ecosystems
