Accountant, Excise Tax

Pilot Company is seeking a Full-Time Accountant, Excise Tax to join our Finance team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you'll ensure our company meets all federal and state excise tax obligations through accurate reporting, compliance analysis, and expert tax guidance.

Core Duties

• Prepare and file federal and state excise tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Maintain comprehensive excise tax records and documentation for audit trail purposes
• Communicate with tax authorities and respond to inquiries or audit requests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field
• Demonstrated experience with excise tax compliance, reporting, or tax accounting
