BlackRock seeks an experienced Account Executive at the Vice President level to lead institutional client relationships within our Preqin business unit in New York City. This is a full-time, office-based position for a seasoned investment professional ready to drive growth and deepen strategic partnerships with major institutional investors.
About the Role
As Vice President, Account Executive for Preqin, you'll own comprehensive relationships with our largest institutional clients, spanning asset owners, asset managers, and financial advisors. You'll serve as the primary strategic advisor, ensuring clients maximize value from BlackRock's investment management, risk analytics, and portfolio optimization solutions. This role combines consultative selling, account strategy, and senior stakeholder management at the C-suite and investment committee level.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute account strategies with major institutional clients, identifying growth opportunities and expanding wallet share across BlackRock's solutions
- Partner with investment advisors, portfolio managers, and product specialists to deliver tailored solutions addressing complex institutional needs
- Conduct business reviews with senior client leadership, presenting market insights and performance analytics to influence strategic decisions
- Manage competitive scenarios and complex deal negotiations with multi-stakeholder involvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, risk, and operations teams to ensure seamless client experience and implementation
- Build market intelligence and contribute to business development strategy based on competitive and client trends
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of institutional sales, account management, or advisory experience in asset management, investment services, or related financial services
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex institutional accounts and C-suite relationships
- Deep knowledge of institutional investment workflows, including asset allocation, risk management, and performance attribution
- Strong understanding of alternative investments, quantitative strategies, or data-driven investment solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in a matrix environment
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus
