What This Role Involves

As an Account Executive at Xplor, you'll own the full sales cycle with merchants and partners, identifying expansion opportunities and positioning our solutions in a competitive market. You'll blend consultative selling with technical understanding to uncover customer needs and deliver solutions that generate measurable business impact. This position uniquely bridges merchant sales and information technology—you'll need to communicate fluently with both business stakeholders and technical teams to drive successful implementations and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new merchant accounts through a combination of outbound development, inbound leads, and partnership channels
  • Develop account plans and sales strategies that grow customer lifetime value and support long-term retention
  • Partner with product, implementation, and technical teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and rapid time-to-value
  • Maintain an accurate and healthy sales pipeline, forecast revenue with precision, and track performance metrics consistently
  • Educate merchants on product capabilities, integrations, and industry best practices to drive adoption and reduce churn
  • Prepare proposals and contracts; negotiate terms to close deals while protecting margin

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of direct sales experience in merchant services, payments, SaaS, or related B2B enterprise environments
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and quota
  • Strong consultative selling approach with demonstrated ability to uncover customer needs and position tailored solutions
  • Comfortable learning and discussing technical concepts; ability to translate technology benefits into business outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong ability to build rapport across all organizational levels
  • Self-directed, resilient, and thriving in remote, independent, metric-driven environments
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales productivity platforms
