About This Position
This is a hands-on CNC machinist role in our Rothschild, Marathon County fabrication shop. You'll operate advanced computer numerical control machinery to produce complex metal components that OEMs depend on across industries including architecture, construction, and beyond. If you take pride in precision and accuracy, this full-time position on the 1st shift offers the stability and focus you need to master your craft.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to fabricate components according to customer specifications and technical drawings
- Set up, calibrate, and monitor CNC equipment to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
- Inspect finished parts to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and work instructions accurately
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a production environment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
- Familiarity with CAM software and digital work instructions preferred
- Reliability and punctuality for the 1st shift schedule
- Willingness to work safely and follow established shop protocols
