Parexel is seeking an experienced Medical Director, Oncology / GI Subspecialty to join its clinical research leadership team in Chisolm, Montgomery County. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity to shape the scientific direction of cancer and gastrointestinal trials at a globally recognized clinical development organization.
About the Role
As Medical Director, Oncology / GI Subspecialty, you will provide senior medical and scientific leadership across oncology and gastrointestinal clinical programs. Working from Chisolm, Montgomery County, you will guide study teams, safeguard patient safety, and apply deep therapeutic expertise to advance studies through every phase of clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver medical oversight and ongoing safety monitoring for oncology and GI clinical trials
- Contribute to clinical development strategy and compound planning for new and ongoing programs
- Author, review, and refine study protocols to strengthen scientific quality and feasibility
- Support pharmacovigilance activities and the assessment of safety data
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including feasibility and operational groups, to keep studies on track
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on GI subspecialty indications within oncology research
Qualifications
- Medical degree with relevant clinical experience in oncology and gastrointestinal disease
- Background in medical monitoring, pharmacovigilance, or clinical development within a trial setting
- Working knowledge of protocol design, optimization, and clinical research methodology
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for guiding multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work on-site in Chisolm, Montgomery County in a full-time capacity
