Role Overview
As the Maintenance Reliability Engineer - Pebble Plant, you will own reliability centered programs that keep critical assets running safely and efficiently. Working on-site in Elmore, OH, you will partner with operations and maintenance colleagues to reduce unplanned downtime, extend asset life, and ensure the Pebble Plant meets production goals. This full-time position emphasizes data-driven decision making and continuous improvement for plant equipment reliability.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead root-cause analysis and failure mode evaluation for plant equipment to prevent repeat issues.
- Design, implement, and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for the Pebble Plant.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics, analyze reliability data, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and operations staff to prioritize work orders and improve craft effectiveness.
- Apply reliability tools such as condition monitoring, vibration analysis, and lubrication programs.
- Update and manage reliability documentation, spare-parts strategies, and critical-asset hierarchies within the site CMMS.
- Support capital projects and equipment upgrades by providing reliability engineering input from concept through commissioning.
- Coach team members on best practices that elevate overall plant maintenance and reliability culture.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance reliability, plant engineering, or industrial equipment reliability roles.
- Working knowledge of reliability methodologies, predictive technologies, and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn failure data into actionable improvement plans.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional plant environments.
- Familiarity with safety standards and the discipline required to keep a manufacturing or process plant running reliably.
- Willingness to work on-site at the Materion Pebble Plant location in Elmore, OH.
