Position Summary

As Software Engineering Manager for GPU Communications Libraries at Nvidia, you will oversee the design, development, and optimization of critical communication protocols and libraries that enable GPUs to exchange data efficiently in distributed systems. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical depth with people management, where you'll guide a team of senior engineers building solutions that impact millions of compute operations daily.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers developing GPU communication libraries and protocols
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical roadmap for communication software across Nvidia GPU platforms
  • Oversee implementation of high-performance communication features including point-to-point and collective operations
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to optimize software-hardware integration
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Champion code quality, performance optimization, and engineering best practices
  • Represent the team in company-wide technical initiatives and strategy discussions

Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in management or technical leadership
  • Deep expertise in GPU programming, parallel computing, or systems-level software development
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols and distributed systems architecture
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with GPU-accelerated code optimization
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering teams
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across organizational boundaries
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
