Engineer II – Loews Hotels Universal Orlando – AM/PM & Overnight Shift

Join Loewshotels as an Engineer II and help maintain the systems that keep our guests comfortable and safe. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work rotating AM/PM and overnight shifts across 13 locations, with assignment to our Loews Hotels Universal Orlando properties, where you'll deliver the technical expertise our hospitality operations depend on.

Role Overview

As an Engineer II at Loewshotels, you'll be a core member of our engineering team, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the mechanical, electrical, and building systems that support daily hotel operations. This Engineer II role is essential during AM/PM and overnight shifts, when you'll often be the primary technical resource on site. You'll diagnose equipment issues quickly, perform preventive maintenance to minimize guest impact, and ensure that all systems operate reliably across our properties near Orlando and throughout our 13-location footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in guest rooms and common areas
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency service calls during assigned shifts
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to prevent downtime
• Document all work orders, repairs, and maintenance records for compliance and operational continuity
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to manage priorities and schedules
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and hotel operating standards
• Support the training and development of junior maintenance staff

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Engineer II or equivalent facilities maintenance technician
• Proficiency troubleshooting and repairing building systems and mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, or hospitality facility infrastructure
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Reliable communication and strong collaboration with diverse teams
• Current valid driver's license and dependable transportation
• Flexibility and reliability for rotating AM/PM and overnight shift schedules
• Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical work, or building systems preferred
