Business Controller

Position Summary

As Business Controller at Vanderlande, you'll own the financial health of our business segments, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions. You'll balance rigorous cost control with growth ambitions, working at the intersection of finance, operations, and leadership across our Veghel headquarters and global operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets and financial forecasts for assigned business units
• Monitor actual performance against budget, investigating variances and recommending corrective actions
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and management accounts for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct profitability and cost-benefit analysis to support business improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and financial governance policies
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand business drivers and refine financial models
• Identify process improvements and efficiency gains within financial and operational workflows

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and business controlling (minimum 3–5 years)
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to synthesise data and communicate findings clearly
• Excellent command of English; fluency in Dutch or another European language is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments
