Customer Service Representative

Uhaul is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Detroit, Michigan to join our team and help customers with their rental needs and equipment inquiries.

The Opportunity

This is a full-time position where you'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking to rent trucks, trailers, and equipment in the Detroit area. You'll handle customer inquiries, process reservations, and resolve issues with professionalism and care. Your role is essential to delivering the customer service experience that keeps Uhaul a trusted choice for people moving and transporting goods throughout Michigan and beyond.

Your Responsibilities

• Respond to customer questions about rental availability, rates, equipment types, and reservation options via phone, email, and chat
• Process rental agreements, reservations, cancellations, and account modifications accurately and efficiently
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer problems, complaints, and billing issues
• Educate customers about different truck and trailer options to match their moving or transportation needs
• Maintain complete and accurate customer records and transaction documentation in company systems
• Communicate with warehouse, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure customers receive correct information
• Adapt to seasonal demand fluctuations and support additional projects as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or a related field
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay organized under pressure
• Comfortable learning and using computer systems and rental software
• Strong problem-solving skills and patience with complex customer situations
• Reliable attendance and availability for full-time work
