Facility Housekeeper

About This Position

As a Facility Housekeeper at Uhaul, you'll play a key role in keeping our Orange, New Jersey location in excellent condition. Your work ensures that every area—from customer-facing spaces to operational zones—meets our high cleanliness standards. This position demands attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment where both employees and customers feel safe and comfortable.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of all facility areas, including offices, common areas, restrooms, and storage spaces
• Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and buffing to keep surfaces safe and clean
• Empty trash and recycling containers, and dispose of waste according to company procedures
• Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors throughout the facility
• Restock supplies in restrooms and break rooms as needed
• Report maintenance issues or facility damage to management promptly
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
• Support special cleaning projects and deep cleaning initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proven experience as a housekeeper or facility cleaner
• Strong work ethic and reliability—ability to maintain consistent, dependable attendance
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Physical capability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemical products preferred
• Willingness to learn and adapt to company procedures
