Recruiter (6-month Contract)

Backblaze External Website is hiring a Recruiter for a six-month full-time contract role—available remotely for candidates anywhere in the United States.

The Opportunity

Backblaze is scaling rapidly across the global cloud infrastructure landscape, serving hundreds of thousands of organizations that depend on our storage solutions. This contract position lets you make a direct impact on our growth by sourcing and placing exceptional talent across engineering, product, operations, and go-to-market functions. You'll collaborate with our Talent Acquisition team to fill critical roles domestically and internationally, directly shaping the people who will drive our next phase of expansion.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Execute complete recruiting workflows for open positions across all business functions—from initial requirements gathering through final offer acceptance
• Identify, engage, and screen prospective candidates through a combination of proactive sourcing and pipeline cultivation
• Advance qualified candidates through interview stages efficiently while maintaining a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
• Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to clarify role specifications, skill requirements, and team needs
• Support recruiting for both technical positions (software engineering, product, infrastructure) and non-technical functions (operations, sales, finance, and people teams)

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, preferably within SaaS or B2B cloud services environments
• Demonstrated success managing complete recruiting cycles independently—from initial planning through successful hire
• Proven ability to recruit for both software development and infrastructure roles, as well as business-side functions
• Strong project management capabilities with capacity to balance multiple open positions concurrently
• Based in the United States
• Bonus qualifications: international recruiting experience, Spanish language proficiency, or familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse or similar platforms
