Spanish Interpreter (Washington)

Prisma International, Inc. is seeking a Spanish Interpreter to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position offers the opportunity to provide language interpretation services supporting clients and team members across the Seattle, Washington area and beyond.

Position Summary

As a Spanish Interpreter with Prisma International, Inc., you will deliver accurate, professional interpretation services in Spanish and English. Working remotely from anywhere, you'll facilitate clear communication in a range of settings, ensuring all parties understand critical information and can engage meaningfully with one another.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation services between Spanish and English in various contexts and settings
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics standards in all interpretations
• Convey meaning, intent, and nuance faithfully, not just literal word-for-word translation
• Work efficiently with minimal lag time to support real-time communication needs
• Document interpretation sessions and maintain detailed records as required
• Stay current with terminology and cultural context relevant to interpretation assignments

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in both Spanish and English with native or near-native proficiency in at least one language
• Proven experience providing professional interpretation services
• Strong listening comprehension and ability to process complex information quickly
• Professional demeanor, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
• Reliable technology setup for remote interpretation work (computer, internet connection, quiet workspace)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to different contexts and industries
• Certification or professional training in interpretation is a plus
