Court Interpreter – OSI/VRI/OPI

Prisma International, Inc. is hiring a Court Interpreter to deliver interpretation services across multiple modalities—on-site, video remote, and over-the-phone—at our Dorchester Center, Suffolk County location. About the Role

As a Court Interpreter, you will facilitate clear, accurate communication between the court and non-English speakers during legal proceedings. This full-time position requires mastery of interpretation across OSI (on-site interpretation), VRI (video remote interpretation), and OPI (over-the-phone interpretation) formats, adapting to each setting's demands while maintaining absolute accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality.

What You'll Do

• Interpret spoken testimony, judicial proceedings, and legal communications with high accuracy and speed
• Adapt your interpretation approach for on-site courtroom work, remote video appearances, and telephonic proceedings
• Maintain strict neutrality, confidentiality, and ethical standards required in legal settings
• Manage time-sensitive interpreting assignments and coordinate with court personnel and legal professionals
• Ensure clear understanding between all parties during examination, cross-examination, and procedural explanations

What We're Looking For

• Bilingual fluency in English and at least one other language commonly used in court proceedings
• Court interpreter certification, licensure, or equivalent demonstrated expertise in legal interpreting
• Proven experience interpreting in courtroom, legal, or formal administrative settings
• Strong command of legal terminology and understanding of court procedures and processes
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple formats (in-person, video, phone)
• Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong communication skills
