About the Role
As a Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN, you will deliver hands-on bedside care to acute-care patients on a combined med-surg and telemetry floor. This is a full-time travel position based in Dover Foxcroft, Maine, with a planned start date of July 20, 2026, running for approximately 12 weeks at 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients across a 12-hour shift.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, responding promptly to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, manage treatments, and document care accurately and in real time.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the wider care team to coordinate patient plans.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license valid for practice in Maine (or eligibility through a multistate compact).
- Demonstrated experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
- Ability to commit to the full 12-week, 36-hour-per-week schedule on 12-hour shifts.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and time-management skills suited to travel assignments.
- Flexibility and adaptability to integrate quickly into a new unit and team.
