System Administrator – Level III

Prime System Solutions is recruiting a System Administrator - Level III for our Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan office on a full-time basis. In this role, you will lead infrastructure management, oversee system operations, and mentor junior IT staff in maintaining the organisation's enterprise IT environment.

The Opportunity

As a System Administrator - Level III, you'll assume senior-level responsibility for managing and optimising our organisation's IT infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple systems and technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the business. You'll drive process improvements, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across departments to deliver reliable IT solutions that support business objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtualised environments
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and security policies across the organisation's network
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement solutions that minimise downtime
• Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and security updates across the infrastructure
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Level I and Level II system administrators
• Document IT processes, procedures, and system configurations for operational clarity and knowledge transfer
• Collaborate with management on IT budgeting, procurement, and long-term infrastructure planning

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on system administration experience
• Proven expertise managing enterprise servers, networks, and storage systems
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualisation platforms
• Experience with system monitoring, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior IT staff
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft certifications, or Linux professional credentials) are valued
