Professional Services Engineer

Prime System Solutions is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to join our team in a full-time remote position based in South Africa. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between our technical solutions and our clients' business outcomes, delivering implementation expertise and technical support across diverse customer environments.

About the Role

As a Professional Services Engineer, you'll be instrumental in translating customer requirements into successful technical implementations. This position combines hands-on technical work with stakeholder engagement, requiring you to manage complex deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure clients achieve their desired results with our solutions. You'll work directly with enterprise and mid-market customers, building strong relationships whilst maintaining technical excellence.

What You'll Do

• Implement and configure systems for clients, ensuring adherence to best practices and business requirements
• Conduct technical assessments and design solutions tailored to customer environments
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support, resolving issues with minimal business disruption
• Develop technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge transfer materials
• Train client teams on system usage, administration, and optimisation techniques
• Collaborate with product and support teams to identify improvements and escalate complex issues
• Travel occasionally to customer sites when required for implementation and training

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a professional services, solutions engineering, or technical implementation role
• Strong technical foundation with demonstrated system administration and troubleshooting capabilities
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities independently
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering measurable business value
• Willingness to learn new technologies and expand your technical skillset
