Cultural Resources Group Manager

Helix Environmental Planning is hiring a Cultural Resources Group Manager to lead and expand our cultural resources practice in Fresno, Fresno County. About the Role

As Cultural Resources Group Manager, you'll oversee a growing team delivering cultural resources and heritage assessment services across diverse projects in California. You'll manage day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and ensure the highest standards of cultural resources work while building strong client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise the cultural resources team, providing direction on technical and operational matters
• Direct cultural resources assessments, archaeological surveys, and heritage compliance evaluations
• Coordinate with clients, tribal representatives, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with CEQA, NEPA, and cultural resource regulations
• Contribute to proposals and business development for new opportunities
• Maintain quality control and mentor junior staff on best practices
• Participate in technical cultural resources work as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in archaeology, anthropology, cultural resources management, or related field
• 7+ years of professional cultural resources experience, including team leadership
• Knowledge of California environmental compliance and cultural resource regulations
• Strong project management and client communication skills
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively
• Experience supervising and developing professional staff
• Familiarity with cultural resource databases and GIS a plus
