About the Role

This full-time position combines technical tax expertise with client relationship management. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to partnership clients navigating mergers, acquisitions, and other significant restructuring transactions. Your work directly impacts how businesses optimize their tax outcomes in complex, high-stakes situations.

What You'll Do

• Develop comprehensive tax strategies for mergers and acquisition transactions involving partnership entities
• Conduct detailed tax due diligence and risk assessment for clients during transaction evaluation
• Prepare tax analyses covering entity structuring, step-up in basis treatment, and partnership-specific considerations
• Lead client engagements and communicate technical recommendations to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
• Advise on post-closing tax planning and compliance requirements following deal completion
• Collaborate with fellow tax professionals and specialists across the firm to address multi-faceted client needs
• Travel to client locations as needed, typically up to 20% of the time

What We're Looking For

• CPA or JD with substantial tax education and demonstrated expertise in partnership taxation
• Extensive professional experience in tax planning, advisory, or M&A tax roles
• Deep knowledge of partnership tax regulations, entity selection, and transaction structuring
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead project teams
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex tax regulations into actionable strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Willingness to travel to client sites on a periodic basis
