About the Role

As a Senior Transmission Line Engineer at Leidos, you will join a dynamic, results-driven team focused on solving complex problems across the electric transmission landscape. You will contribute your engineering expertise to the design of high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission line projects, spanning both overhead and underground systems. This position is based on-site in Reston, Fairfax County.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an engineer on electric transmission line design projects from concept through completion.
• Develop design solutions for high-voltage and extra high-voltage overhead transmission systems.
• Support the engineering and design of underground transmission line systems.
• Collaborate with a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team to resolve technical challenges in electric transmission.
• Apply sound engineering judgment to deliver reliable, code-compliant transmission infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering experience in electric transmission line design.
• Working knowledge of high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) systems, including overhead and underground configurations.
